Test Bay with minimum dimensions. Width 3600mm with 600mm between any equipment. This will include the Power Pack on the lift.

Headroom 2400mm and 3800mm above the surface of a Lift.

The headroom must extend a further 500mm further than the outer edges of the Lift Platforms.

The headroom must extend a further 500mm further than the front edges of the Lift Platforms and 1.0 metre from the rear edge of the Lift Platforms.

A clearly identified viewing area to be allocated where the test can be clearly and comfortably observed.

Area to be level and true.

Headlamp test standing area to be 2100mm wide and 3600mm long and level to within +/- 6mm in any 3000mm. Where tester is in front of lift, lift platforms must be level to above specifications. Tester rails to be certified parallel to +/- 2mm of standing area plane and many be recessed in to floor. A clear durable headlamp datum line to be marked.

A minimum clearance of 600mm between any part of the lift and adjacent wall must be provided.
